Why do guys always flirt with my friends but not me?

This may sound self conscious but it kind of annoys me. Isn't it normal to be socialable with everyone and to introduce friends to new friends? Well I've noticed that whenever I go out most of the time it's 'girl time' which I love but...guys are always flirting with my friends and not me. They acknowlege me and I feel it's as if they ignore me. I find it quite rude but I always try to forget it lol. I just want to know, do guys only flirt with girls that look 'easy' or look 'super hot'...? I'm not perfect nor ugly. Just a nice simple girl who's fun one you get to know. I just wish I knew what guys think of me. When guys approach my friends and not me it makes me feel so small and my friends don't exactly help. For example a guy I see more than my friends talks to them and hardly ever talks to me...when he does he acts very different, quite strange... When I just pop into converstation with my friends guys just go blank and don't say anything. I'm just tryin to be 'nice.' Will I always just be the shy girl on the side? I know I'm shy but I do talk! I just need people who are interested in getting to know me lol. :(

Maybe it's because they seem more friendly, approachable, and easier to talk to. Perhaps it's not that they look "easy" in the sense that you are referring to. Guys (and other people, for that matter) can sense that you feel uncomfortable or awkward in that sort of situation, and staying silent in your friend's shadow doesn't give them much of a chance to socialize. You could try to be funny and say "Sorry I'm so quiet - just being the shadow here." with a chuckle, and then try to engage more in the conversation. They're likely to notice that you came forward first to introduce yourself or make your presence apparent, and then one you start talking to a guy you could start to lead him away from your other friends and perhaps ask him to have a drink with you, provided you're in the right type of setting. Also, try not to overanalyze everything someone else does and be more open and less critical of the situation, since they're people just like you and are likely to be thinking similar thoughts as you. ;)

I'm ugly and I get approached all the time. I worked in a sevice job once, so my posture is open, I greet people and give friendly eye contact. You've gotta open yourself up more.

A lot of girls that are not approached are victims of body language problems. If you are unconsciously putting up a barrier to any guy who is considering chatting you up, you would be the last one to know.

Other reasons you may be avoided are if you remain in large groups of other girls all night - it's intimidating and most guys don't know how to split you from the pack.

One last thought is that you may be prettier than you realize and therefore intimidating. It happens, particularly to younger guys.

do you talk to him first? sometimes girls need to grow the ovaries and talk first:) he needs to see the real you and not just a empty shell, talk to him:)

lol OK I'll grow the ovaries more xD... umm when he gives me the chance, yeah I'll talk to him, ask how he is... but he doesn't even look at me sometimes andflirts like crazy with all the other girls. It's so awkard.

wear something that makes you pop out compared to your friends, be different! but don't change your personality, just do something different for a change and point yourself out there and say HEY here I am! lol hope I helped.
