Guys, what makes you feel vulnerable?

I just realized that the times when I was most in love with my ex was when he was vulnerable around me. Like blowing up my phone. Getting nervous in front of me. That kind of thing. Guys, what makes you feel vulnerable in front of a girl? Do you hate feeling that way? Is it something that you try to avoid?

... Guys, don't take my question as a sign that it's good to go around texting your girl 24/7. She may not like it. I probably wouldn't have liked it either if another guy did it. It's only this one guy that did it for me and it wasn't annoying.

Feeling vulnerable around a girl can be for, as Quadrophonic said, one of two reasons: either it's a bad vulnerable or a good vulnerable. The bad ones are usually when you realize she's going to break up with you any day now and may be getting vindictive. The good ones are when you tell her you love her, when you share a secret with her that you'd never repeat in public so long as you lived, the first time you let her see you be sad, that kind of thing.

The "good" ones aren't necessarily thrilling to us, but we're comfortable with them because we feel safe and secure around the girl we're with. It's that knowledge of safety and comfort that makes us feel good about exposing those vulnerabilities.

You have to remember, guys are generally raised with the "never let 'em see you bleed" mentality, and we adhere to it, to the death. Exposing a vulnerability to the girl we love is a very big step for us; it's very nerve-wracking. When we finally do it and we discover that the girl isn't laughing at/mocking us for it and our secret really is safe, it's a milestone in the relation to us - it's a big thing.

I have felt vulnerable when I could tell a girl was getting ready to dump/reject me. Or if she talks about having doubts about the relationship because when girls say that, often they mean they already decided it's no good without actually discussing the doubts. I also feel vulnerable with a new girl when I can tell she's just staring at me judging me physically all over. Some of them do it really really obviously just like guys.

There's good vulnerable too. Maybe telling each other fantasies in bed or the first time I tell her I love her.

Dont cheat, don't do anything that lloks like cheating... texting some other guy, dancing too sexy with other guys in the club or party. Even if you see him cheating or trying to cheat, play the role of maturity... ask him camly, tell him how you feel about his deeds camly... CAMLY.

Whenever I have really liked someone, I have always felt safe and like nothing else mattered. But I guess that feeling would go away if I thought they didn't want to be with me.
