Is it lame for guys to post shirtless pics?

Even if the guy is in amazing shape, is it an actual TURNOFF for girls to see those pics on GAG or FB? Like even if he had a six pack would you think its a douche move to post the self shirtless pics? Even with my tank top pics I feel like I'm pushing it.

P.s. If girls did it, that would be hot, but caution as it may bring unwanted attention.

CapnBlack actually has the right idea. Shirtless pics make you seem kinda cheesy if they're unwarranted. That doesn't mean you can't have them, but if the only reason you're putting them in is to attract female attention, it can be kind of lame.

For example, it's one thing to have a picture of you shirtless with some friends at the beach or something. It's quite another to just have a picture of you standing in front of the mirror without a shirt on. The ladder is kinda cheesy.

But then again, many girls like guys who try to show off for attention.

Guys who do that stuff are lacking in self esteem and true self confidence. They are seeking an ego boost... it's fishing for a compliment. It's the same way when girls post revealing profile pics - they're all a cry for attention.

I think guys confuse how girls think as being exactly the same as themselves, yes if a guy sees a girl topless he's gonna bust a nut. With girls its a little different, pictures of random people on the internet are not going to do anything for them. A guys chest for one isn't exactly something that's consider sexual in the same way as a girls chest, they are pretty much used to it.
