Girls, how do you feel or react when a random stranger (guy) compliments you in a park or on the street?

I got a weird one this one time when I went to ride my bike in a park with my family, most of the kids were in my age range or younger. There was a handful of guys who rode towards us, and when they got to me, the one in front said "Man, I could watch you do a cartwheel all day." The other guys said me too, laughed and rode off. I was 17, I looked like 14. What in the fucking hell does that mean?
I usually am grateful for the compliment, unless they stare at me before or after the compliment for too long, it shares way toooooo much, or is flat out bizarre. But if the guy compliments me, and that is that I try to give them the benefit of the doubt and hope they meant it in a not creepy way, it could make my day.

Please note that delivery is key. Make sure you're not waaaaaay older than the girl, you need keep it short and sweet, keep sexual compliments to a minimum and if they are sexual, make sure it's tasteful. Also, make sure it's relevant (not like those bike guys). Most of the time, you will need some charm to pull it off in a stranger, so ask some people around you about it, before you do it.

I'm not very good at giving compliments. A couple days ago, i saw a very beautiful woman excercising. She was gorgeous. I wanted to tell her, "you fantastic physique and its evident that you take great care of yourself and I respect that"

But I wasn't sure if it would be acceptable. She was a red haid. On the short side, she was excercising in a sports bra, she had the best pack abs I have ever seen on a woman.

Well if you can appreciate a woman who is fit, you can try saying as smoothly as possible "I only mean this as a compliment but you (insert compliment and a genuine smile). I'm sorry I interupted you, I'll let you get back to your thing" She may be surprised at first, but after that you should be able to tell if it went good or not. If she is suprised it because you caught her off guard.

It depends how the compliment is delivered. If you run your eyes up and down at me, dirty smile and all, expect pepper spray.

I suck at taking compliments... I cringe a little... I'd prefer they say something weird like "hey those fingernails are clean" then I'll be like oh why yes I have OCD and keep them very clean... Then the rest is history... Great fantasy right

If he's overweight, ugly and has a t-shirt on that has a naked woman on it, I'd run off. If he's a nice looking man just saying it because he wants to (no obvious hookup reasons) i'd find him sweet. Depends on the moment and depends on the guy

I'm not comfortable with a random stranger giving me compliments. Wait until you know the person first. Too many creeps do that when they have ill intentions and they're hoping complimenting the person will take them off guard.
