What can I do to get out of the booty call zone?

I have known this guy for a while (our families are friends). Every time we see each other at the local bar we flirt and eventually go home together at the end of the night. When we see each other sober, no flirting. Just normal conversations. He has tried to text me a couple of times (both around 1am) so when I wake up in the morning, I dont answer as I know it was just a booty call. I dont want to be just friends with "drinking benefits" anymore as I have had a crush on this guy for a little while now. I think he likes me too... but I am not sure.
What can I do to get out of the "booty call" zone?

ask if he wants to do something together one day just the two of you, that is not late in the evening and preferably not at any either of your homes. So get to know him when sober and also start flirting then so he knows you do not just want to be friends.

Quit answering the call is a good start. Just make sure that's what you want because it's likely it will all end if you start respecting yourself more and he does not respect that.
Chances are, if he isn't already pursuing you for something more he doesn't want anymore. How much does the booty call mean to you? That's probably the right question to ask. Because a simple 'No' puts an end to the booty calls.
