Does being sterile make you less of a man to women?

Question

I may be permanently sterile due to an injury and I'm worried this will make me a less attractive guy to women. Since it seems like so many want kids these days and I wouldn't be able to give them. I feel inadequate.

That makes me sad that you feel that way. :( Yes, some women are crazy enough to not want to be with a man for that reason. But when comes down to it, what if she couldn't have children either. There is always adoption, and women can even be implanted nowdays so that they can experience the growth of a child inside of their body. Sure, things might be a little different between the two of you, but that doesn't mean that a women is going to love you any less. I know firsthand that I would not be cold-hearted like that. If I love you, I am going to love you for who you are. The fact that you may not can have children wouldn't be a big deal because there are always other options. It should be in every relationship, but many women are harsh and not understanding. You deserve someone who will love you regardless. :)

It wouldn't bothere me if you were sterile or not, I might not be able to have kids due to an illness, and I've always thought about adopting (especially after volunteering at an orphange in Moldova)... it doesn't make you less of a man either, just like I'm no less of a woman :)

It wouldn't matter to me. If you want kids, you can always adopt. Something like that wouldn't keep me from being with the one I cared about.

If they want kids, it MIGHT be because adoption isn't for everyone. However, if they didn't, then you'd be a catch. Imagine how much you'd save on birth  control?!

i don't think so..being a man doesn't equate to being able to have kids. It involves a lot of aspects ..like how you carry yourself, beng responsible among other things. Well it's like saying a 16 year old boy who gets a girl pregnant is man enough! ..that's not true or that a father that abandons his kids is man enough! ..You can still be considered "man enough" without having kids.

obv. to some it would and to others it wouldnt. depends on the girl. for me it wouldn't matter because I think that the guy should decide if he wants to have kids or not. like if he wants them, I will have them. if he don't want them, I won't have any. it sounds wierd, but so am I :-P but most girls it shouldn't matter to unless theyre super big on kids ya know.

There are a few women who do not want children, so not to worry. But if that girl will leave you for being sterile then she's not worth it. If she stays with you even when you tell her then you could both decide if you want to adopt.

all of these questions you're posting are so depressing.  Let's make it simple, girls have this thing for helping/loving injured/sick/helpless/sad people and such.  You're fine dude, it's really not your fault.  You have nothing to worry about

I wouldn't think you're less of a man or anything like that, but it would be a problem as I do want children in the near future. I suppose if I really liked the guy I could consider adoption, but he'd have to be pretty bloody special to  me.
