Trending & News I selected only biological before I saw your third option. But I think social rooted in biology is more correct.
Social roles play a big part, especially when you look at cultures around the world and throughout history.
Women can do anything that men can do that doesn't require size and strength. Then again, there have been societies where women were great warriors, leaders or rulers. And women can do something that men can't do: bear and nurture children.
However, social roles do not change the fact that men are men and women are women, regardless of their sexual preferences.
Trans-sexuality is impossible. It's insane to think that a person can change their sex.
The last one. Naturally the social aspect was honed out of the natural way of the TWO genders. Not to say the lines can't become confused. Some are born defective and find attraction to their sex. They've had all sort of names for this. It was heavy in the Greecion as well as Roman times. Sodomy was referred to as Greek. And the senators loved to have their boys over for the evening.
Also, oral sex was called French. I learned of those two and precum in Penthouse Forum when but a wee lad.
I think being a man or a woman is a combination of both biology and social influence.
Biologically, there are differences in anatomy and hormones.
But society shapes how we express ourselves, what roles we’re expected to play, and how we experience gender.
Who we are goes beyond just biology, it’s also about identity, culture, and personal experience.
The only biological differences between men and women, aside from sperm and egg production, is that men have strength from the waist up while women have it from the waist down.

Only biological... I was close to voting for social role rooted in biology, but even babies behave a certain way. Even the gay ones of both genders maintain certain behavrioral traits and physical ones. It took me about 3 seconds to realize it's biological by excluding sexual prefrences...
.. and that's how I avoided looking like a retard.
Entirely biological
“Social” is a man made concept
Not born of nature
The human body on the other hand, nature takes care of that for us
So it’s not crazy to believe that the grander design of the universe is capable of doing the triage of genders without the need for us to come in and try convincing ourselves that we know better
We don’t.
I think I need to start teaching biology in schools. Apparently , kids are not being taught the difference in school. I can't believe we have this many stupid people running around. When you try to make a female a male it always fails and makes "it' become a loon. WNBA player Griner is trying to become a man and he she it can't dunk basketball anymore. He , she or it is slower now too.
Male and female are biological sexes and humans cannot changed sexes.
@Cidknee I have heard trans people say they have a female brain inside a male body or a male brain inside a female body.
Why are brain scans not used to diagnose gender dysphoria in transgender people then?
Brain scans are used to diagnose other conditions such as epilepsy, blood clots, tumors, inflammation, swelling in the brain, multiple sclerosis and dementia.
That's a reasonable question I don't know the answer to. They have done brain scans and found that brain structures more resemble the typical for their preferred gender than their "biological" one in trans people.
Some things you may not know about Transgenderism! ↗
Are you defined more by what's between your legs or your ears?
@goaded most cisgender people think genitalia defines gender.
@goaded What would their gender be if this technology was real and they were a head in a jar?
I don’t know. Something like that has never happened before so it’s hard to tell.
50 seconds.
biology (xx vs xy chromosomes) but gender roles and all that are partially a social construct
I will be very disappointed if it turns out we are only here to replicate our DNA.
Being a male or female is biological. Man and woman are assigned terms.
It's biological in an organic form from the birth.
Social role rooted in biology.
What sort of nonsense question is this?
Well what do you think?
It is genetic. Full stop.
Only if you are an adult male or female.
Mostly biological.
Biology.
