How do you ask a guy out (who is a stranger)?

I have a crush on this guy. I see him a lot as it’s finals at the moment and we are both studying at the libary. I think he may like me back based off his body language and the fact he often looks at me but I’m not sure. I wanna ask him out but obviously the libary is a bit off an awkward place hah. Any ideas on how I could do it? Or is it a bad idea? Please help 😅. I was very close to doing it today but I go SO nervous and I am usually a pretty upfront confident person. How do I go up to him without feeling soo nervous!!!

Find out what he is studying at the moment


Find a book on what he studying
Put the poem in the book
Put it back in the correct place
Few minutes later walk pass him stop look down and say “OMG I can’t believe it I just read a book on this subject. You must read it, you will not believe who is so biased against this theory.(or whatever)
Then say wait “at least you must read page? It will change your whole prospects. Wait let me see if it is in, so you can read it. Only take a few minutes for me to check. Be right back. Really this will change your view.” Smile get the book. You might want to phrase better.

Well, you have things backwards, you're trying to be the guy, but let's go along just in case he's worthy, but my bet is you'll be bored to tears.
You start with 'hi', or 'hello', duh. And you don't 'ask someone out', you invite them to do something fun with you. For example...

"Meet me for coffee at ______ at 5pm?"
"How are your finals studies going?" Let him respond in kind.
"Some friends are going out to [restaurant or bar] tomorrow night, can you join us?" And be there with your friends - he'll show up if he's really interested.

Or he'll counter with what he CAN do, based on his schedule or preference.

All you really need to do is break the ice, start a conversation. But if you think you're going to be the man in a relationship, all bets are off.

I’m pretty confident so given it’s a library and he needs to study I would probably deliver a cup of coffee to keep him going and write “studying is tiring” then my name and number on the cup. It didn’t matter if it’s not the kind he drinks as the gesture should be enough. If he goes to talk just shush him as it’s a library and walk over to where you want to sit (not too far for him to move closer if he wants to) and then see what happens x

Trust me, if he likes you then he's every bit as nervous as you are. Just ask him if he'd like to go to lunch, or for a cup of coffee. You can drink coffee morning, noon and night, and lunch doesn't have the same connotation as "dinner", which may imply that there is more to follow. If that is your goal, then suggest dinner, otherwise lunch or coffee is more casual.

Guys don't mind if girls ask us out. I can't speak for every guy, but I like a girl who can take the initiative.

I talk to women I know, I know women through conversations. I start conversations, but with women from class, work, or church.
