It’s happened many times before, and we hear stories of it - I’m not saying every case where a teacher has a sexual relationship with a student… I don’t know how often it’s acted on. I would think most, if we’re talking a significant age difference, like 40’s and a 17/18 year old, even if it happened, I think most would have the good sense not to pursue it.
A professor who was probably about 28-30, started dating a college student of his (22-23 at the time, so both were full on adults). There was some talk about whether or not it was happening when she was his student, because publicly, they officially made it more obvious a few weeks after she finished his class. Now, something like this, it’s not anything illegal, may not be wrong or “a conflict of interest” depending on when they started hooking up.
Well I had a job as a teacher assistant at a elementary school. I worked with two teachers and I didn't see anything happen. They were professional and thankfully not pedophiles. They took their job seriously. I did see something weird with a janitor but I always made sure to be around the little girl so nothing would happen. The janitor would give the little 7 year old girl toys and gifts all the time. Her mom was one of the teachers I worked with and I let her know what's going on. She wasn't concerned so maybe he's just some nice guy. He was only nice to her and he knew a lot about her too which shows he talks to her a lot. I don't know why I just got creepy vibes. For me personally you shouldn't be making best friends with the little kids. Just do your job and be professional when interacting with them. They should be friends with kids their own age. I'm just here to teach them.
As wrong as it sounds yes I'm sure it can happen , because they are humans they can't just control a feeling. It is wrong to be dating your student obviously, but if theuy have interest it's best to wait for them to at least graduate... I'm not a fan of teachers flirting with students though , it's very cringy, I used to have one of these teachers he got expelled though
It really depends where in the ‘education’ system this comes in to it.
you can have over 18’s being taught by 26 yr olds.
we have adults going to college and university where they are older than the teacher.
so yeah it can happen and I know girls, guys that have gotten in to relationships with a student , teacher.
There is a thing called duty of care and professional standing. I would hazard a guess that it is against regulations even possibly the law for a Teacher and Student to get involved. As long as that’s respected then yes crushes will happen, it’s acting on these things and ages, vulnerability etc that gives context.

my 10th grade math teacher ended up married to one of the girls in my classroom. he had her as his "assistant" grading tests and stuff like that. She was always hanging around him too. They have 2 kids together. Also my gym teacher also married a student and had 2 kids with her. Then there was a teacher in my school who was having sex with a girl from the soccer team. He ended up getting caught eventually and got locked up for it. Then there was one science teacher who I believe also got caught for having sex with a girl after school and also got locked up. My 2nd grade teacher, who was a woman had sexual relations with me for an entire year when I was 7 going on 8. Parents send there kids to these schools and have no fucking idea what's really going on in there. That's why I personally am so against public schooling in general.
Yes they can! It happens everyday, the only thing is there are teachers who are much better closed-mouth about it. But I'm willing to bet at some point, EVERY teacher has developed a crush or harder feelings (Giggity Giggity!!!) towards an opposite sex student.
Of course a teacher can have a crush on a student. This happens all the time in universities. Teachers are human beings just like the rest of is.
On the other hand a teacher who has a crush on under age kids - and maybe even acts on it - is a pedophile and I don’t think that is okay in any circumstances.

Nothing they'd ever act on... just that feeling of "If I were younger and in school again or they were a little older I would totally be into them"

I think that's false. Teachers don't have secret crushes on their students. That's just from movies and drama. They're adults with their own lives. You are one of hundreds of their students. They may enjoy your interactions but that doesn't hint at lust or infatuation. It's not the same.
I dated my typing teacher 2 months after I graduated, I had a crush on her since the 11th grade, in the 12 th grade I started to visit her in her class during lunch, we kissed, but nothing else , then when we went on our date after graduation, we ended in bed at her place, we mostly had a sexual relationship for 2 years, I still think of her and miss her
I pretty sure there are some teachers that have crushes on students but not just male teachers I think female teachers do to. I just they see a younger self or someone they loved is why they have a crush on a student it just depends if they act upon it that is wrong.
I have my experience that while in college I doubted that my lady teacher had something in her mind about me. Many a times she took me to her apartment. By that time I had no doubt about her feelings. However we both were very careful. The affair soon finished.
Hey, human emotions are just there. Most teachers have a natural love for young folk to start out, but there is always a few you can fall for if not guarding your thoughts.
Can they crush? Oh yeah. Should they show it? OH HELL NO.
This thought came to my mind too few years ago when I completed college I enrolled for coaching for govt exam.
A teacher used to pass accidently she scratched her nails more than twice while moving around but I don't if it something or just me thinking I didn't reacted was too shy🤣
I think it is extremely common. Teachers are human too and they must remain continuously vigilant to maintain proper boundaries with students especially at the high school level.
I'm not a mind reader but of all the teachers in the world, there has to be. No one just like to admit it unless it is a female teacher "jokingly" crushing on a student and everyone thinks it's cute just like what happened to me before.
In pretty sure my form teacher had a bit of a crush on me, I was an attractive young guy with blond hair and blue eyes, it's all faded now lol
I think teachers can have crushes on student like students do on teachers but I definitely agree they keep it secret. They obviously don't want to risk their job.
I think so in high school I saw one teacher look and admire a student for a long time. If was at least a deep admiration and bordered on a student crush in my eyes but I guess it happens
Of course they can! I have examples where teacher and student became a couple after a while. As to me the main thing is that it should be mutual.
I mean, if I was a student and I realized my teacher had a crush on me, I would probably go for it.

It's entirely possible and has happened. Teacher student relationships are not uncommon. They are not legal unless age is correct but they do happen with many age ranges and how far they go
