How to handle being hit on my students?

I recently started teaching high school and the boys are very aggressively hitting on me. It's flattering and all but what's the best way to handle this without making a huge deal about it?

I'd suggest just ignoring it unless they try something physical. And make sure to not be alone with them. Always have other people there (witnesses). If you need to have a conversation with them without the whole class hearing (concerning classwork etc.) then do it standing outside of your door so others can see. Don't start treating them differently than you have in the past. If they try to get physical then it would be time to report it to administration. When they are not in your class, document with date and time what happened that was inappropriate just in case it comes up later.

I have only worked in elementary and middle schools, but that has always worked for me.

Tell them "look, I'm your teacher. Show some respect". If that doesn't work switch to "get yourself under control, or you're going to be sitting in the principal's office talking about this with him and your parents"

You're dealing with raging hormones. Best just to say you're their teacher and don't date students.
