No hug or kiss on the first date. Was he not interested?

i had what I thought was a really good date (that he initiated and planned) with a guy I've been friends with for a year. we went to dinner and then he asked if I wanted to go see a movie. during the movie, we talked and were laughing. he didn't pull down the arm rest between us and he even nudged my foot a few times. at the end of the date, we walked up to our cars and he didn't try to hug or kiss me. he did look straight at me and say, 'let's hangout again sometime." I smiled and said, "sure," smiled and waved bye.

it's been 3 days and we've only exchanged a text or two since the date. was he not interested? do you think he'll ask me out again?

Personaly I feel some guys wait for the girl to give the kiss at the end some guys let HER choose how to go about it. Hell he may have thought you had no real interest in him if you didn't initiate the kiss or whatnot.

Honestly I can't tell you weather he's currently interested or not and even if girls are to play the coy sh*t you could always ask him out yourself to see what he says that will tell you right away weather he is "feeling" you or not

I don't know. I vote you ask him out. I think generally by the third day its the rule of thumb thet if he was going to ask you out again he would have done so by the third day or at a minimum by the end of the week but befor the weekend. I say text him and see if he wants to go out to lunch with you if he says no you have your answer weather he likes you or not.

Well he may be interested in you but was just afraid to engage the kiss/ hug. Since he texted you after the date , most probably he may ask you out again.

yes he will. but you initiate texting. don't wait for him. but at the same time, don't over do it and look desperate. perhaps you could suggest something for next date. mention something.. like a band is in town (concert), or new movie is out etc.. I woudn't suggest movie as you cant' really talk..

he could have just been treating you with a bit of respect, as girls are the first to complain when a guy makes an unwanted move. Just make sure he knows you are interested too, you can always invite him out!

what is wrong with seeming too eager lol. could always text him saying something like "so, we going to hang out again then? thought we could X if you were free?"
