Right, chemistry is important, but if I'm super conservative and she's super liberal, I'm a mountain person and she's a beach person, I want tons of pets and she hates animals, there IS no chemistry, because there's nothing about you that I find attractive because we have nothing in common and no future together.

If you're just asking if he thought you were cute or not, that's a different question. Still a good chance the answer is no.

Ask yourself this. Did he make eye contact with you earlier in the date? Some Muslim men will never make eye contact with a woman out of respect. If he isn't that kind of guy, and made eye contact earlier, then he clearly wasn't pressed to do it again.

Since you have no future together, why do you waste your time wondering WHY he didn't try to pursue something that he already stated is not going to happen?
