Guys, Why did he pull away from a kiss on our first date?

Very likely he didn't believe in kissing on a first date. When I was young it was pretty much expected and assumed you would kiss goodnight on the first date. But I know that's changed.

I suppose it's possible that the date went badly for him. But if he was a gentleman he would have kissed you anyway. Once again I'm being old school.

It's also possible that he's shy.

The honest and most simple answer is he was not ready to kiss you yet. This could be because he is not interested but it could also be because he was insecure about himself skill wise or breath. There is also a smaller possibility that he is opposed to it because of fear of germs. The only way to find our is to communicate with him.

I don't know the situation so how do I know. It SOUNDS to me though like he felt that kissing on the first date is wrong. And that's perfectly fine. Some girls are like that too. You just have to respect it, if that's what it is. If he's asking you out on a second date, maybe the kiss will happen then. I don't know. Again I'm not him so don't ASK US.
