Hairstylist: I Finally Got the Guts to Give My Client My Number. Bad Idea?

I am a young hairstylist. I had this client a couple times, and I always found him incredibly attractive. We click well, we laugh, and there are no awkward silences. He has not talked about girls, or mentioned a girlfriend.

At the end of the service, I made an excuse to give him my number. "I may switch to another barber shop. Here is my number just in case if you still want to come see me to get your haircut!" He smiled. Then I accidentally blurted out as I handed him the paper, "You're gorgeous.. I hope to see you again." He smiled big and blushed and said, "you are too!" He never texted. I feel like I made a mistake, but I wanted to shoot my shot. I never give out my number, but I like him.

Well the thing is you tried. A lot of mofos today don't try for that oppurtunity. I was one of them last night due to I thought I had knowledge of our lawn mower... mofo worked long enough to mow the yard. (son of a bish... like GAWD DAMMI-) besides, think of it this way.

Don't do the thing, and you can add it to the rest of the list of regrets that will never be erased.

My hairstylist did the same thing to me and it worked. You didn't make a mistake, you made your move and he didn't respond. He never mentioned a girlfriend, so maybe he's gay? Either way, you gave your best shot and now you know he's not in to you and you can move on and give your number to another guy that you like. Good luck.

If not at least you tried which is always better than wondering what if I had only...

You did nothing wrong if you didn’t try then you would be wondering should I have asked him or not. Don’t worry too much he might text later on if not there are plenty of fish in the sea. Personally if it was me I probably wouldn’t text because I would think you only gave your number out for business if you see him next make it clear you want to date him. Us guys need CLEAR signals haha 😅
