I've been talking to this guy and we been close. We both like to joke around a lot and tease eachother. We both are awkward but the funny type of awkward which makes it even better. We laugh together and well and talk about almost everything... i like him. I've been afraid to ask for his number so my friend got them for me from one of his friends (I know i know. "you guys been chilling together but you're afraid to ask for his number?" Yes okay T-T he still makes me nervous sometimes). I've hinted to him that I might have his numbers. Now for some reason I'm afraid to text him. A simple "hey" seems boring. I need ideas on a funnier way to text him that'll keep the conversation flowing.

I agree with Wise4myage, but I wouldn't call him. I would make contact and offer your number—not first thing—but after a few moments. Wait until you find something you both like or agree on... then say, "Hey, how about we talk awhile? Want to meet..."
