So my crush lives in a different city, and we were chatting, and I told him that there was a concert the week before for an artist in his city, and that I wanted to go but no one wanted to come with me , and he replied that he doesn't like this artist with laughing emojis?
Does it mean that he doesn't wanna go with me and that's a way of shutting me down? because frankly I wanted to see if he would say that I could have come with you. Although I don't like the artist that much too, but I wished to see him so maybe this would anticipate some project together.

Then ask him if he wants to do something you know he enjoys. If neither of you particularly like an artist, why would you go see them? Find something you both have interest in and ask about that. Then you'll have your answer.

You have to ask him more questions to know. You could say something like "well, is there an artist you would prefer seeing?"
