I tried to flirt with this girl at least mildly throughout the past 7-8 months. We’re both in our early 20s. She knows I have a boyfriend and I would call him and she would tell the other managers that I called him. She’s the supervisor so I guess he had to report and do her job. She’s even told me to get off the phone with him while we were leaving the store for the night.
This causes a lot of strife for us in the workplace and everyone got involved and thought we hated each other. It was just confusing becuase she never acted like she hated me. One time for weeks I wouldn’t speak to her. I guess she made a joke about my size ( I’m not tiny but smaller than her, she’s tall ) and she laughed and came over and stroked my arm. With the guy that I’m dating he’s open to me flirting with girls so no problem there.
She doesn’t know that and she only knows that we used to argue a lot because I told her. Once I came in upset and she basically kept bothering me to tell her why I was upset. Everytime I talk about him I get an awkward silence and she never asks about him. She’s called another coworker “pretty girl” and told a gay guy he was her favorite.
She’s told me she cares about me. I had a rude customer. I broke down in front of my supervisor because she had to coach me when we were alone and she told me she wanted to hear their side and of course my side. She told me she didn’t want me to feel uncomfortable and after we were alone again asked me how I felt about our conversation and told me she cared about me.
She got transferred and has tried to slide that she “cares” about me a lot. On her last day she told one of our mutual work friends that she wanted a pic with me but thinks I hate her. She wanted to take a goodbye pic with everyone but it was awkward because she grabbed me and were doing a bear hug in our pic. I could feel her heart beating fast. I’m the only one she grabbed and hugged like that. Why wouldn’t she want to stay in touch?
