I’m a naturally positive person, with a positive outlook, who tries to find the positive in others, so yeah, I do get approached a lot. Obviously I am not always interested in going on a date with the guys who approach me, but I am always kind and polite to them, and I always treat them with respect, and thank them for being so sweet as to ask me out. I’ve never understood why some girls are so rude to guys JUST for approaching them?
Here’s a real world example… I was talking with a classmate at school. We were outside, and I’d just come back from lunch. Suddenly her demeanor changed, as he rolled her eyes and told me that “some ugly creep” was walking this way and looking right at me. Then she asked “do you want the fun of telling him to fuck off, or can I have it? Oh please let me do it?” I “laughed” nervously but told her no, that I would handle it IF he even says anything to me in the first place, which he may not! Well, he did approach me “excuse me, you’re Laura, right?” I said yes, and then he told me that I had dropped my keys getting out of my Jeep! Apparently he saw me drop them but by the time he got to them and picked them up, he’d lost sight of me and had been looking for me for almost 20 minutes! He knew to ask my name b/c my ex bought me a cute keychain with my name on it, and he wanted to make sure he wasn’t giving my keys to someone who just looked similar. Now, if I would have just told him to “fuck-off” like my classmate wanted, I doubt that I would have got my keys back! It is ALWAYS better to treat everyone with kindness and respect, until THEY prove themselves unworthy of your kindness, or your respect!
Crazy girl 2 great point
@pizzalovershouse Thank you so much, I appreciate you letting me know you liked my point.
Awelcome is
@pizzalovershouse Awww, you sound like Yoda. Thank you.
Awelcome
I’m super introverted yet people always seem to befriend me. I’m pretty sure I give off a “I rather be alone” exterior (but maybe I don’t?).
Im also quite the loner who likes reading and books but I never had to work hard to have friends. Even in college. It’s weird. . I’m not even sure I know how to make friends myself because I’m so awkward lol
lol why? I hate being this way
I love the way you think 🧐
See this is much easier for me but in person, I would never 😅😭
And thanks for MHO!
I’m sort of the same. I’m an introvert but when I click with someone naturally, joking and talking just becomes natural. It’s quite interesting
I wish I was tall and intimidating because that's what would fit my introverted personality. But instead, I always get randos coming up to me to randomly talk and NONE of them are ever single women. At restaurants, on the bus, whatever.
I don't even think I look nice or approachable, so my option isn't on here. I look like I'm just minding my own business. Now I gotta pretend to care about these people ramble on endlessly and ask me dumb questions. It happened all the time in the US (if they were tourists/foreigners, Philly people are horrible and mean), and it happens here in South Korea too, if they know English.
If I was 6'5"/195 cm, people wouldn't bother me like this. But my short-ass is always getting random strangers approaching me (none of them single women, either). I don't like it.
Apparently so I'm told. I look like I hate you and I also look like I'm going to cry.
Well I can't help either it's just the unfortunate shape of my face.
Oh. 😂 is that a good or bad thing?
Sweet. ☺️
I’m sorry but the way you described it is killing me 🤣
🤷🏽😂

I'm not sure. I do get approached more often than my friends but at the same time, I often get told that some were scared to approach me for different reasons... so in the middle I guess?
I think I'm rather approachable, people often ask me to take pictures of them. There's lots of tourist where I'm and lots ask me to take pictures of them (they even wait for me to finish what I'm doing to ask me while there's tons of people around) so i would say I look quite approachable / nice / helpful.
They also often ask me for direction.
Awkward.
I guess it somewhat depends on my mood and you may be able to see that with the look on my face, but I feel like I may often put on a resting bitch face, because if I walk around all happy and smiling all the time, people may think I'm crazy.
People so sometimes look at me funny and say shit to me, because of the way I look - I come from a conservative culture and I guess my overall presentation comes across as more on the feminine side (I'm not gay) and I do sometimes get stares and people accusing me of being gay, often meant in a derogatory way.
I'm not homophobic myself, it's just a shame that some people of my culture feel the need to behave that way or have some kind of problem with it, because 9 times out of 10, they're the ones that say shit to me or look at me awkwardly.
If i’m not engaging with others, i’m very unapproachable. I’m big, bald, have resting jerk face, and i apparently have a very deep voice. People have mentioned it; it was weird. Ell oh ell!
On the other hand, if i’m in a particularly good mood and smiling, i must be much more approachable because random people will engage with me. Worse if i’m already engaging with others. I’m an exceptional conversationalist when motivated. That seems to draw people in. As long as i don’t look like i want to eat them, i guess.
I think people my age or near might be a little intimidated by my attitude and looks if they see me passing by (with oldies or other people I tend to smile at them actually) but getting to know me it's pretty different. It's just cause I put a cold serious look to be more confident while being in the middle of a street or crowded places
I wear a blank expression on my face at all times. My gestures and body language are limited as well. I'm a rather tall girl as well which doesn't help at all. XD
My default is RBF, but I spent a lot of time growing up learning how to be approachable.
Now, it's strange. If I'm out and about just walking or doing things, I'm likely looking intimidating. But if someone stops me or I'm at a place where I want to interact, I turn on the approachable charm.
I also do my best to seem approachable around friends or work colleagues, despite my mood.
I guess it depends on the person... some people just approach me because they're intrigued or interested and they tend to be more confident people of course, but other feel a bit intimidated by me for whatever reasons
either way I am a person that welcomes interaction and engagement, even if I do not approach others myself first or not usually... because the usual for me is that people approach me first so I guess I just got kind of used to that, lol
So called "RBF" is just a meme, you're just a too coward to talk is all.
Sure some people look a bit funny, but no one is above talking... unless they are dumb, in which case you use sign language.
I think I have overcome my inherent nature of being quiet/shy to being approachable.
I was chair of my apartment complex for quite some time and did want residents to feel able to talk about building issues to me. So I had to work on that.
I thought I had made it when a female resident called me late night and asked me to open a jar of pickles for her. Not my job but I felt complimented that she felt able to ask me to.
I am shy but I am told I am intimidating. I believe it's because I was an nco, I have the traditional 1000 yard stare you find on most vets. My face is hard with a full beard. I have also been told when I look at some one my gaze is percing like I am looking through them or examining their soul. Reality is I am a nice fun guy who likes to joke around. My military and work experiences influence my posture and my look.
Poor NoFace!!! I'm not approachable because I have earphones in blocking out my surroundings. But when I don't have them I get approached more often. But I don't have the earphones only because I forgot about them.
I'm very approachable, but some people find me intimidating.
Pinay power :)
Daisy 409 you just have to think of happy time to bring a warm smile on face
I’ve got RBF but can be incredibly shy and awkward😅
I’m pretty friendly, but being tall and having RBF, a lot of people won’t get that. I’m autistic as well, do if someone were to try to talk with me, I may respond in a way that could be seen as rude, even though in my head it sounds perfectly fine to say.
Both apparently. Because I'm 6'5" I've been told I'm physically intimidating. Which is comical to me because anyone who knows me knows I'm soft like cookie dough. But I'm not excessively social so I think that works against me. I guess it depends where I'm at in some situations I'm a clown others quite stoic.
A combination of resting bitch face and serial killer face.
I have a resting bitch face. I swear to God I’m not mean I just look mean. I’ve lost being approached by a lot of cool people bc of it 😭
Being short and having a RBF is a curse, it’s like people see us as little hobgoblins😂
Whatever mood I’m in. If I see someone I know I’m a ray of sunshine. 90% of the time it’s RBF though. And if someone makes me uncomfortable it’s the serial killer look
Usually people say I’m intimidating since I don’t smile at strangers. I wear a bronze face when I talk to others 🙈 but in reality I’m a good person, I’m only an introvert who has his defences always on.
I'm pretty sure people are intimidated by me. I've been described as "intense" and I never really smile, preferring a sterner, more disgruntled and aloof demeanour.
I'm very shy and I always have this sad or gloomy expression on so maybe that's why people tend to not approach me even though I'm alone.
Resting bitch face... Last time I received a comment asking if I didn't agree on the statement, just because of my default expression.
People come talk to me all the time, even when I have RBF. They'll usually say smile, it looks good on you, or pretty girls always smile.
Stuff to try and get me to smile, even when I don't want to.
Nobody can remember my name but people want to talk to me. Steve or Scott or my name. I have learned to respond to all tree and not say anything as to embarrass others. My life is like cartoon sometimes ;-)
I am very cheerful most of the time because I have to make guys feel good where I work
Topless Dancer/ stripper
Thank you sweetie
I left you more info in a PM
Thank you for understanding
People approach me a lot. I guess I look like I I'm full of information. Most of the time I'm the one approaching others just to say hi and make their day a little brighter by complimenting them.
i’m a guy so i rarely get approached unless it’s a hooker or someone trying to sell me something 🤣 if you mean just in a general sense though im probably not very approachable anyways. Whenever i walk by people asking if i’m registered to vote they tend to avoid trying to talk to me after they’ve looked at me.
I'm a blend of poker and serial killer, as I always appear cool and bored.
Anon1903 if you learn to think of happy moments you could smile easily
I have a permanent smile or smirk on my face and folks are magnetized to me at all times. But I am internally awkward as hell. I have a fearful-avoidant attachment style and cannot handle dealing with people for a long period of time especially with small talk involved. But I insist on keeping my disappointment and confusion at bay.
I think I got that intimidating look but come up too me and get past that face and actually say something I'll give a smile and you'll see I'm not an asshole😂
I always get asked why I’m mad even when I’m genuinely in a great mood lol. My rbf is also somewhat of a good thing because women always make the first move on me by asking me that same question to start up a conversation 😂
A few weeks back I was really approachable
at the moment I’m more in the “fuck off or I cut your face off” sort of approach.
I'm intimidating, but I'm not sure what kind of impression my face gives. Being tall does add to it, I believe.
apparently, i look mean/unapproachable but am the complete opposite when u talk to me
so there's that
I'm quite approachable, but because by nature I don't smile a lot, people tend to think I'm reserved.
I don’t really know, most of the time I’m just minding my own business
Online, I am very approachable.
In person, I am unapproachable (on purpose).
@Pinay_ako Yeah. I think it's left over from my teen years. I kind of developed a bit of a "tough guy" posture. It's just the environment I was in, I suppose.
It's good, because no one messes with me. ... But it makes me less "open" in general as well.
Depends entirely on the situation. My wife sees me as a massive teddy bear.. But if someone attempts to harm my wife or family, the claws come out.
I do Madd dogg everyone but that's cause you stared at me to long lol but if I'm at work I come off happy go lucky, but I'm not and down to trip lol it's a hard mentality to shake but I get by.
I have a face people feel they can tell anything to. My personality…is well…not.
If I have a lot on my mind I have been told by people who know me that I look as if I was extremely pissed due to my blank stare and they were always told that if or when they got to know me I was the life of the party once I was in relaxed mode
I'm not very attractive so I definitely don't get approached very often. Which is a shame because I think I have a great personality and people are missing out because they ", judged a book by its cover "
I like to think I'm very approachable, I have been told I have a laughing face
I look like Santa Claus. People chase me down and ask for pictures. The manager of a local mall chased me down and gave me her business card.
Very approachable I think, although some people seem a bit scared of me, until they talk to me, perhaps because when people take the piss out of me I react strongly,
I've been told I look mean so people dont approach me often.
I'm shy, and hesitate approaching others but I'm open to being approached.
Very approachable- I get asked all the time by female tourists for directions.
People assume I'm scary I guess because of how I look but once I start talking they realize I'm friendly.
i like it when i get to talk with people and make new friends :) i'm up for that
I think I come off as intimidating due to my resting bitch face but once we're past the approach, I'm not intimidating at all
I would say intimadating. That's because I had a rough life. Reasons to smile? I don't have that much.
I feel you, man
I guess I'm intimidating because girls don't approach me I don't know
Both men and women try to start conversations with me so I guess I look friendly. I am really shy though in real life.
I don't know really I don't think I'm either of them but I guess I have something if an aura of being closed off from everyone.
Yea I'm shy, awkward and low confidence, recipie for remaining alone
Strangers find me intimidating, cold and distant. My friends can't shut me up! 😁😆😄😅😂🤣👍
Shure not the guy in photo I smile lot an friendly
My default face is pretty intimidating if I don't put in effort 😂 Add being 6'7 to that and well..
I’m shy but no one seems intimidated to approach me about things
