I’m freaking out that my crush don’t accept my friend request how to calm the nerves?

I have sent my crush from work a follow request. We have about 10 mutual followers in common so I thought it was not such a strange thing to do. Plus he was someone I work closely with. I only thought it was weird we didn’t have each other. I’m nervous though because it has been an hour and no response yet. If I don’t get a response by tomorrow I will probably block him or something out of embrassment.
