Guys, How would you want a girl (stranger) to let you know she's interested?

So the scenario Im thinking is out in public where you two aren't already interacting. Since I never get approached by men, I wanna know a way, if there even is a way, to get a guy’s attention so we can speak. No flirting right out the gate since I find that tacky from both sides honestly. Or at least tell me the reason you have ever approached a girl in a casual but non-social setting (a place where you'd run errands or pass by each other or something since I don't have a social life, thus it wouldn't be at a club, bar or party for me).

Just seeing all my options*** Also, Id love if men in 30s and early 40s gave their input since thats the age range I gravitate towards/men seem to notice me a little.

In a shopping mall you could ask me for my opinion on something you want to buy, like clothing or tech stuff, or if i know a good place to eat around here, then you can sort of invite me along casually, but actually it'll be me inviting you if i like you back hah.

After the first few words you can start asking the guy anything while smiling at him, and doing the "oh, i hope your girlfriend won't mind me asking for your opinion" or something like that.
The key i think is to be friendly while giving him signs, that you aren't just friendly with him. Body language, or literally telling him that you like him in some way.

On the street/shopping mall works too you could pretend (?) to ask for directions or the time, then say something about the weather, you'll be probably all nervous at this point. This is the time where you'd admit to the guy that you find him attractive and you just wanted to talk to him.
If he likes you even just a little bit, he'll be happy to talk to you or help you.

What signs do you give to guys that you're interested in? You have to understand that guys these days are told by women that they don't want guys to approach them, whether it's at the gym or running errands or whatever. They're not interested, so you're fighting an uphill battle there. Not only that, but there's plenty of women your age who think a guy 30+ interacting with them is "creepy". Just do a quick search on the search bar. This means you'll have to be bolder and more obvious than you're used to. You'll also have to put yourself in positions to be approached and remove any barriers that might get in a guy's way.

If a woman, especially your age, wanted me to approach her she'd have to be pretty obvious about it. Looking at me repeatedly and smiling (staring with a RBF would only get me to look back at her), flirting with her eyes, biting her lip, looking over her shoulder at me, finding ways to be near me. That sort of stuff.

there's only been 2 times in my adult life (and it was this year) that I've tried to give signs. Im lame so the first time with this guy I just kept walking past him so he would notice me. He was talking to another attractive woman and he actually did keep turning to look at me even after that. Second time I was gonna try something but I noticed he was over me at that point and stopped looking at me at all so it didn't work. Basically, I just try to physically put myself close to them.

She doesn't need to flirt (although I am very good at picking up on less obvious flirting), she just needs to start a convo and be friendly, even complimentary if she senses it's appropriate. Women my age who do that are usually pretty good at that by that point in their lives.

Basically, if a woman finds some excuse to start a convo and is friendly (key distinction between someone just asking you something), a guy should pick up on it. I've used that myself to start convos with women, but not solely.

Well, TBH, I wouldn't do the bumping, but you are an attractive young woman and a guy, once he gets over any surprise he has that you've approached him, is going to be happy to talk to you, so it doesn't have to be perfectly smooth. A little clumsy can even be endearing to guys.

Well as a 40 something. I guess experience comes into it a little. I see you're 23. A man my age would probably pick up on signs younger men wouldn't. Not bragging, just the older you get the more you learn.

Women do this thing where they look at you then when you make eye contact, their eyes go in several different directions. Almost flustered. Some blink rapidly.

They are just tell tale signs. I am very outgoing and would pick up on it and ask you out. However. If you are trying to get attention. If he gets a bus or walks a certain way or stops at a certain coffee shop. Make note. He should notice you. You could accidentally on purpose drop something, it's a cliche but works.

Men, especially younger men aren't the brightest at picking up signals even when they're staring him in the face so be subtle but present. If he see's the same beautiful girl every day he should get the hint, but you can always nudge him along with small talk to start off with.

I would suggest starting with maybe a random compliment to get things going (that seems to be to go to hint I get). Then follow up with where did you get (that thing I just complimented you on). I probably still wouldn't get the hint unless there some obviously flirting after that though but hopefully you can get the ball rolling after that. Good luck.

I would love it if a Girl Approached me, Just say "Hi" and introduce yourself and then maybe tell him what your doing and ask him questions like if he lives in that town or city your in and if he grew up there or not.

Just be direct and confident. Make conversations, give obvious signs but not weird ones to show that you're interested. Just don't play mind games. Men appreciate a woman who's straightforward
