Was this his weird way of flirting?

Iv been working at a store for a while now. I would say I’m a cute girl and I always get complimented on something. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on my face but I don’t rlly get hit on or anything:
Today there was this Latin guy who came in and was super nice and smiling and he told me he liked my nails. Then he was smiling and like “I always see you in here everytime I come in”. I would think he was gay but last time he came in he put his wife’s phone number in for rewards.
Is he trying to flirt a little? Why would he feel the need to bring that up? I told a couple people and they think he was flirting.

He could well be flirting. There's a woman at my corner store and I regularly flirt with her. She knows I am with someone. She's pretty and even my partner can see she is. My partner knows I am a flirt but she knows the reason I do. I like to make people feel good about themselves. They don't have to be pretty by the way, I just generally like making people feel better about themselves. Maybe this guy is similar.
