I’m his “future ex-wife”?

A guy who I have every intent of dating asked our mutual guy friend (his teammate) when he was visiting town “when are you bringing my future ex-wife down to see me”… I have been called a lot of things in my life but never this… and he’s done it twice apparently 😂

He hasn’t asked me to be his girlfriend yet… but would this be a good thing to be called? Like a compliment? 😂

He’s a really nice guy otherwise… totally husband material.

I think it’s partially bc he’s been divorced when he was much younger so he’s desensitized to it… I don’t completely disagree with ya tho

I see and that kind of trauma never heals but how you deal with it determines the fate of your next relationship.
This one instance tells me he's fatalistic about love and not serious about commitment because of the past he is always looking for the exit or plan b
