So the other day my class was looking at books at the school library when this girl (I have a crush on her) walks up beside me and started looking at books, she takes a side step closer to me and me trying to be polite I move a step away. Then she takes another step and we are shoulder to shoulder beside each other, touching. I freaked out an was nervous, so I left the scene. The next 2 days I caught her looking at me twice (that makes me wonder how much time she has stared at me).

It definitely could be a sign of flirting. Sounds from the details she wanted to get close to you and give you a sign that she is into you. Especially if she is also staring at you. Do you talk to her at all or have you two not broken the ice?

Also, are you in the same grade I take it? You are quite young and plenty of time for girls in your life. However, if you want to get to know her, maybe see if she wants to study together.

That way, you are focused on one of the important things in your life at your age; school. Just don't let girls (or anything else) let you get distracted from your studies. No harm though being friends with the girl and getting to know her.

@pilloto8000 I think that is the next step here. If you want my honest opinion, I think you should see if she tries to flirt with you again (however she does it) and then take my suggestion of asking her to study or something like that.

No reason you cannot get to know her a bit. Because you are both young, it will be very unlikely she will make the move. Not that it isn't possible, but from your details, I think she is trying to get you to do it.
