I went out to eat with my boyfriend tonight and took him out for his birthday. We had great conversation over dinner and he’s my best friend
We were easily having the best conversation there every table around us seemed kinda quiet lol.
We had this waiter who looked around our age early 20s or mid 20s.
He was a good waiter and attentive and well spoken and we were gonna order dessert and he kept coming back and interrupted once saying he didn’t wanna rush us but we should order right away since it took a while to come out even though when we ordered it , it only took like 10 minutes.
At first when he introduced himself he looked kinda shy and was smiling and kinda looking down but I thought he was just being nice and didn’t read that much into it.
When he took a to go order I had He stood kinda beside / behind my boyfriend. The tables are close together but still. After i told him what I wanted we kinda had this awkward silence and he knew I was done because i closed the menu and looked up. After I ordered he kinda just gazed at me for a few seconds after and was slightly smiling which I thought was weird and it was notably an uncomfortable awkward silence. It made me blush and kinda smile back but I quickly looked away at my boyfriend and the guy walked away but I definitely think he noticed me being embarrassed.
My boyfriend couldn’t see his face because he stood behind his chair but I don't know that whole exchange seemed very awkward lol and he really only addressed me while talking.
Am I reading too much into things? Was he attracted to me and wanted me to know it? Lol I just wanna know just to know it was too awkward not to ask lol.
