Yes it’s possible I can’t read minds maybe he smiled at everyone or maybe he thought he could get a bigger tip.

But yeah people have emotions and feelings the only issue is that when someone’s at work they have to be professional so most aren’t going to be forward. If you like someone then shoot your shot…. Just be respectful about it and understanding they’re at work. They have to be nice to everyone because if they’re not they could loose their job.
