Ever posed for an art class and is it normal?

I did a posing session for an art class recently and though i was pretty confident about it at first, by tge end i felt a bit awkward and specially the bit when the guys and girls in the class wanted to get in touch with me later and persuaded me to give my number as such. What felt more awkward is some of my relatives coming to know about it and telling off my parents. I feel a bit embarrassed now infront of them and even infront of my friends. Is it normal to feel that way?

I've never done it but it does seem exciting on many levels. Not surprising that people wanted to talk with you afterwards.
