I'm 20F and I'm absolutely OBSESSED with my 29M English professor. He's single, passionate, and hot af. He seems to notice me and make a lot of eye contact with me during class. One time, we were at a cafe and his leg brushed mine several times and he didn't move away while we were casually talking about sex (for an essay). The semester is almost ending, and I'm desperate for his attention. How do I make him notice me?

A professor is not supposed to like a student more than any other one and certainly not "notice" one in the way you would like him to notice you.

It is not only against morals but ethically wrong for a professor to attempt anything personal with a student. All you risk to achieve by attempting to get his attention is to put him in an awkward situation and if worse comes to worst, to have him fired and banned from a teaching position for the rest of his life.

I am sure that it is not what you want and therefore, do not attempt anything that could lead to him having serious problems with the school board.

It seems like a college or university not a K-12 school.

I get the power thing. If a professor has a bad habit of sleeping with students. I would think it’s wrong.

Please don't. He already notices you. But, you could get him fired... almost all schools and academic institutions have rules about professors and students, even if that student isn't in their class.

Enjoy your crush. Want him. But, for his sake, don't act on it.

Then ask him out. Before you do. Read the policy on relations between students and factuality. If it’s fine. Then feel free to ask him out.

If not. Then wait until a time where you nor him won’t get into trouble and make your move them. Unless you moved on
