How do you become good enough friends with crush to talk in the hallways. We’ve talked 6-7 times but don’t seem to be on conversation starting basis?

I like this guy I my science science class and we’ve had like 5-6 good conversations, follow each other on Instagram, and have had small dm interactions/text convos but we don't seem to like ever acknowledge each other like outside of class or in the hallways.

Whenever I see him in the halls we’ll make eye-contact and whatever but just pass eachother but I wanna get on like “hey ____, *insert random convo” basis with him because I wanna talk to him more but I don’t know how.

How can I get on we can approach each other and say things basis?

Girl, it's totally fine to start a conversation with a complete stranger.

And you two are no longer strangers, you are free to socialize with him.

If you want a reason or excuse to talk to him that's another matter.
