How do I approach the shy guy in my class whom I’ve made ‘eye contact’ with a few times?

Here's what I would do:

Find an excuse to sit near him in class one day. Like save the seat next to you with your stuff. If he's shy he probably won't say no!

When class starts, smile and introduce yourself. Keep it light, like "Hey I'm ___. We keep making eye contact but I don't think we've actually talked before."

Ask him a question about the classwork or something to get a convo going. Dude will probably be nervous too so help break the ice.

Once you're talking, mention noticing him around campus. Like "I see you in the library sometimes too, what are you studying?" Get him talking about his interests.

If it's going well, ask if he wants to study together sometime. Exchange numbers "so we can find a time to compare notes." BOOM now you're in, just gotta text him up!

Don't stress him out with too much attention at first since he's shy. But a nice smile and reaching out can go a long way. Show him you think he's cool and you want to know him better. He'll warm up, I'm sure of it! You got this sis.

Make it easy, walk up and say Hi. Ask him how he is liking the class or ask a question about what was covered in class that day. Being shy he does not know how to start the interaction.
