a substance GROUP therapist knew you were gay and then made a comment out of left field stating my coworker said i remind them of (Degeneres) she said i guess its because i dress in layers)(she said this when everyone was busy, noone paying attention) then she gave me compliments. i felt i was getting special treatment. a couple mnths after being in her group she turned to me again on down low while sitting put her elbows on her knees and head in hands and said it feels so long since seen u

i had a session with them less than a week before this was said and as i said i saw them and spoke to them briefly when i was in the same building three days prior

If I were just good friends with the person, not at all. It could be my friend just had a really bad 3 days that dragged on and on. Context matters.

I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt here, and it sounds to me that they maybe just had 3 really jam-packed days, whether due to work or off-work events. I certainly wouldn't kneejerk to "that's romantic" without more information about the client-therapist relationship you two have, but I won't ask you to divulge that.
