Constant teasing from male co workers?

I work for a male dominated company, just a few women. The majority of the men, with a few who don't, tease me all the time, but not sexually, but just about whatever. It embarrasses me.

WHY do they do this? Men, what are your reason why you would tease a girl? thanks

Some men just do not know how to socialize with women; they might try to joke around because that's how they tend to communicate with their guy friends and coworkers. They might misinterpret your reaction, thinking that you find their teasing funny. In some cases, it may be an awkward attempt at flirting with you.

defiantly can relate. just hold your own, laugh it off and tease them back but, just as with any bully, don't let it get to you. If it gets to be harassment talk to a manager or someone who will take the situation serious, if nothing changes, look for another job.

We tease you because we think your worth teasing because you're cool. Men expect you to tease them back. That's how it works. We do this with other guys, usually in the form of "yo mama" jokes, or how we have slept or would sleep with their moms in some fashion or another. Harmless smack talk.
