Would a girl text extremely dry if they like a guy?

I like this girl and I was scared to say anything because he’s my coworkers daughter but the coworker is 50 and she’s my age (21). I just said to him yesterday after he said his daughters think I’m a good looking guy. I asked if he’d be ok if I liked the daughter and he said yes I’m a good guy and all that. Then he said she likes me too but it confuses me because every text I send gets responsed to in a week or 2 and when she texts back it’s a “lol” I’m like there’s no way she finds me attractive in the slightest. Am I thinking too far into the texting?

That's because her daddy told her what you said. If you didn't work with her dad she'd be more open but that kinda too close for comfort. Lol. I'd say keep your feelings to yourself at this point. Just be yourself. If she's interested it won't matter if it's her daddy or godzilla. When a woman wants you... She wants you. You're a nice guy and her dad knows that. He knows what type of guys she deals with. That's why he was so open with you. He wants better for his daughter but can't force her. It's almost like a warning if you read between the lines. Why does Dad like me but she's acting shady.. come on man. 😅
