Why would a girl hardly text a guy she likes?

This girl I talk to in person acts very interested in me (super giddy around me, laughs at everything, teases me) while in person however over text this past week or so she’s been unresponsive (she texts me every other day) but her replies are always responsive, starting new conversations, using emojis, reading, etc…

Is she playing hard to get or something or am I overthinking?

She might be the one overthinking here, girls tend to overthink when they text a guy they like and so they are scared to seem desperate if they respond immediately. For a lot of girls, they don’t know the correct amount of time to wait to respond to a text.(Which definitely should be when they can, but they care about the outlook of the text too much to follow what is the easier option) The fact that she’s being as engaged as she can other than the responding time, is a good sign. Considering the way you depicted how she acts around you, she probably likes you and is not trying to mess anything up by seeming needy.(She might also just be busy/distracted and not know how to answer or isn’t available to answer) The best way to approach this is to simply just be yourself, and just be casual. The worst thing you could do is ask her why she’s not responding quickly or if she has been okay considering she hasn’t been responding.

Yeah but I mean it’s just been 3 days now since I’ve heard from her. Saw her today at work and she acted the same way she normally does. Went from drunk texting me a week ago to this. It’s strange
