My Crush Asked Me For Advice on Another Girl?

For about two months, I've been texting this guy and seeing him now and then and he's always seemed like he liked me. A week ago, a friend of ours even made a statement that he was touching me a bit too much and seemed like he had a crush on me.

He used to text me first, but hardly ever does anymore except this Saturday night. After we had texted for a while, I didn't respond to one of his texts and he came on facebook to make sure I had received it. It wasn't an important text, so I was wondering why he would check that.

Anyway, we were talking last night and we got onto the topic of people being oblivious when someone likes them. He began to ask me for girl advice and he mentioned he liked someone, so I supported him and told him to go for it. Although he didn't tell me who it was, I later had suspicions that it's a girl currently obsessed with my ex-boyfriend but I didn't tell him that.

My question is: Even though he asked me for girl advice, could he still have a crush on me?

I don't have a problem being friends with him, I'm just curious and concerned.

Right now, he's texting me saying "Where were we?" wanting to talk about the girl again, I guess. Now I'm even more unsure what to do :/

The same kind of thing is happening to me right now. I was hanging out with this guy I like, and who is really flirtatious and seems to like me too, when he started talking about this other girl, and wondering what he should do... its a little frustrating, that's for sure! Its interesting though, because if , in our cases, the guy is still interested, why do they think they have to show they 'like' someone else? is it to make us jealous? :P

I've done that before. Why? To maybe gain some hints as to if she likes me, after all if she's my friend I don't wanna go in blind and potentially ruin a friendship if we both don't feel the same way.

play it off and keep it quiet for now, maybe you can give some suitable hints to see if he actually likes you but nothing to drastic.

We used to hint to each other all the time until I made a conversation a little weird the other day :P. I was thinking of just becoming really good friends with him first but still flirt with him. Good idea?

hmm I guess, but it may confuse him a bit.I say get closer and hang around more in 1on1 situations, give him a hug when you meet and say goodbye. :)

That's a good idea. A hug from a girl says, I like you enough to hug me. Even if it's circular he still sees the reason behind it.
