How can you test if the attraction is mutual?

If you have a crush on a guy (also an friend) and you feel that there’s something going on but you’re confused how can you tell so you can make a move? Like we make eye contact while talking the entire time, also if we brushed neither of us would move. But how can you tell?

How hard is this? "Would you like to get some coffee?" (or lunch or dinner or whatever)

Ask him for help with something and see if makes himself available
