How do you know if there's a mutual attraction or if it's just one sided?

There's a guy I really fancy we exchange stares. He has found excuses to speak to me/ presented himself with open body language. He stares upclose sometimes but mostly observes from far. I feel something but I don't know if it's just one sided and if I'm just really attracted to him.

Only real way to find out would be to "shoot your shot" as they say and ask. From what you described, he's either not confident enough to make the first move, or is running the same question through his head. As there are more risks for a guy making a move and getting it wrong than the other way around, let him know how you feel and ask him out.

Thankyou so much for the advice, I have spoke to him and I think it helped with breaking the ice. He randomly bumped into me a few days ago and he said omg and remained eye contact. Think he was surprised to see me. He might have thought about the situation
