Is it inappropriate if a female Uber driver calls her male passenger baby? Whether it was friendly or not. If it were the other way around I know it would definitely be inappropriate. If it were another setting like a bar that would be different I know. Like if a bartender called you it, that's different, it's just being friendly, or even just someone else and all.

Lots of people have calling strangers of the opposite sex pet names for ever. Just because women have gone all crazy cra cra doesn't mean we should.

Not professional…but the technical rules are relaxed more for women. It’s unfair, but they are the victims of harassment 90% of the time, thus our society over correcting.

I guess it's innapropiate in a professional setting, but I have better problems so I wouldn't care.
