Like I’ve always seen this my whole life, and I’m like why don’t they try to find a good guy in the first place so they’re not rushing to use someone for clout on Valentine’s Day? I personally refuse girls near Valentine’s Day because I don’t want to make a girl feel temporary happiness for herself. I want to find someone who actually likes me for myself. Is any other guy like this?
I used to celebrate Singles Awareness Day with friends or by myself just for the heck of it lol. Now that I am in a relationship I don’t celebrate it at all. It’s just another day and includes things that you should be doing with your partner year round. If anything the day feels like it is meant to make others feel bad about not having someone to spend it with

VD is weeks away. Why you worrying about it? On a side note: A traditional dude is like a rock. Very stable. Not prone to having his feelings/emotions change like the wind. If you're into her this morning you will be into her this evening. Women are NOT LIKE THIS. They're more like wind or fire. You're running around looking for "wind that doesn't move" or "fire that doesn't consume anything" & so on.
The best you can get is a woman who is loyal to you.
Another analogy for that would be cats (or dogs) that live outside. They ain't always going to be in your face. But they always come back.
VD is heavily promoted and being alone on that day is worse than spending Christmas alone; you just spend the entire day seeing other people getting roses and wondering why you are alone.
I had a first date with a girl on VD when I was in law school and we dated for about three months. I knew her and was interested but the timing just worked out so that it was mid-February.
But wouldn't February be the perfect month to find someone if you like putting together or planning romantic dates? Or possibly get cheaper meals on dates? I know on Valentine's Day my parents get me gifts too so that way I don't feel left out or sad.

Providing temporary happiness?
“I want to find someone who actually likes me for myself”
You do realize no matter what time of the year it is, woman love to be courted. Those first meetings and gestures determine if you see us as a high or low value companion. You have to invest into someone if you’re expecting them to commit to you and love you for who you are. Valentine’s Day just gives you deadline on the women’s end.
I don't know how it is celebrated elsewhere, especially in the states, but in Sweden its calm down drastically. In my school years in late 90s and early 20s it was alright to send, sell and give away roses on VD. Today, it is not available or possible anymore due to the reason that no one should be left out. At most work places the same rule applies.
Used too. My boyfriend made me adopt the idea that valentines day is pointless. Been together for 6 years now and after our 1st year together. Have never celebrated it since. You can say that you love them on any day of the year!
I am a girl and I have never been so desperate for that weird day…………what is even Valentines day
I never ever celebrate Valentine's day. It's just a normal day for me. lol
Maybe younger women. most who have been single for soe time or are older don't care about "Hallmark Day" its literally just another dumb day like any other.
I have never been into finding someone just for valentines, I don't think it is that important.
Most likely because its get promoted by companies like its the only thing existing in the world.
Being love-bombed by corporate marketing because it denotes the end of another year of business
It;s that damn Hallmark channel. They will do anything to sell their stinkin cards.
You are cheap and a thief. You have to pay a women respect. You are a criminal minded like every other men
They’re feeling entitled they get desperate
I've never noticed this... they ignore me just as much as any other day lol
You sound like you haven’t had a valentine recently, and that isn’t by choice.
