Girls, I gave her my number & she hasn't texted me despite being great in-person. Safe to assume she isn't interested?

Here's the situation; I've been talking to one girl in my class every single day. I had gotten the vibe she was into me when she first met me due to how flustered she would seem when talking to me, but excited overall. Here's a few other things I'd noticed:

She started coming to class early to ensure she sits with me (after sitting on the other side of the room previously)
She's been sharing her snacks with me
She's offered to help do assignments for me when I've complained about being tired
She's asked me if there are any cafes I like going to
She's complimented me on my sense of style & how good my hair looks
She's made an effort to message me on Slack daily asking me personal questions
She gets super red & plays with her hair when we have more personal conversations

All of this made me think she may be into me, so I gave her my number about 4 days ago. Thing is, she hasn't even tried to text me (despite me saying to please text if she wants good restaurant recs).

Is it safe to assume she may just be interested in being friends?

For some reason I’m still surprised every time guys overthink like we do lol 😂, but the fact that she complimented you on your physical appearance is a dead giveaway she is interested. Maybe she’s trying to hint at you asking her out with the restaurant recommendations? She shows all the body language signs of interest and probably wants you to ask her out

You should be texting her if you like her. Most girls do not initiate contact.

She could like you but most girls like for you to ask for her number and you text her first. She probably just doesn’t want to start the convo. You could say “hey text me really quick so I can save your number as well”

Girls don’t like when guys want her to make the move. It would have been better if you asked for her number and then called or texted her. I’d suggest just making the move and see how she responds.

We do! When we're not able to talk during the day, she and I will message and chat about basically anything

So she really didn’t need to message you on your phone as you are chatting anyway?

Yes in a sense; we message there during class for the most part, but so far never have we messaged in the evening, on the weekend, or in a more casual format (hence why I figured a number would be more formal). Reading over this though since we are technically messaging on Slack, I could just officially ask her out on there, but it does make me feel a bit stiffy lol.
