The guy I have a really big crush on now has my number from a hobby group I’m in, I saw him look down and smile after I texted him, what do I say now?

I met this guy about a month ago at my language group, I loved the way he spoke about things in English, and in Spanish, I like how he looks when he thinks and at first I thought maybe it was a one time thing, but no, we always have so much fun talking to each other. And we end up talking to each other the majority of the time. He always comes with his friend who I am super friendly with, but because of this I couldn’t talk to him alone, so today I gave them both my number, now that I have this guys number I want to like start a chat and see if he wants to hang out, I don’t want it to be weird if he doesn’t want to even though he seemed like he really did want to when we were talking. I was thinking of something like, “hey if you have time this week I’d love to meet up outside the language group” I don't know I don’t want it to be weird especially because his friend is in it. I have a feeling he enjoys talking to me too. I don't know anyway, what should I say? I really like this guy.

So I sent this and I haven’t gotten a response yet: Hey I liked talking to you at the language group, if you’d like to maybe we can meet outside the group sometime? And don’t worry we can still practice our Spanish :) a day seems like a while should I send anything else or just leave it? I don’t want it to be weird.

Here's what I'd suggest:

Hey! It was nice chatting with you guys at the group again today. I had a thought - since we always seem to end up discussing all kinds of interesting topics, maybe we could continue the conversation over coffee or lunch sometime if you're free? No pressure either way, just thought it could be fun to get to know each other more in a more relaxed setting. Let me know if you're up for it! Either way, hope to see you next week at the group.

He smiled when you texted so he's definitely interested! This is casual and open-ended enough that it doesn't put too much pressure on him. Suggesting a specific date/time is better than a vague "hang out" so he has a clear invitation. And that last part reiterating the group takes the awkwardness out if he says no.

I'd send that text within the next day so it's not lingering too long. Then whatever he says, great! And if no response, don't take it personally - follow up casually at the group. You got this girl! Fingers crossed he says yes - let me know what happens!

So why would you send him a text message if he is in the same room as you and you can see his face? It’s obvious to me you have a brain injury and are once again telling a lie that no normal person would believe.
