Should I take it seriously if a waiter called me beautiful?

I go to this cafe where I always order the same drink. Im not a chatty person but there's this one waiter who always asks how im doing. he's the only one who tries to small talk with me. Im an awkward introvert so i suck at small talk. Only thing I say is Im ok... but this time he called me beautiful as he handed my drink which is awkward because no stranger has ever said that to me. But dony waiters call every customer beautiful? I can't tell if he meant it or not.

Okay whatever you doing right now stop get up and go look in the mirror and look deep into your eyes and say to yourself you know what I am beautiful I am kind I am happy I'm outgoing I'm smart I'm confident I can be beautiful if a stranger says I'm beautiful because I believe I'm beautiful I have a beautiful heart I'm a caring person I love myself so next time when a man says I'm beautiful when anybody says I am beautiful I'm going to smile and say thank you because you are a beautiful if you have a beautiful heart you are beautiful everywhere so be that person and body that person love that person and become that person accepted just accept it and smile and say okay I'm going to be that person for now on

I would say so. He’s either being nice, trying to get higher tips, maybe he likes you, there could be a lot of reasons.

Hopefully he at least meant it. But maybe he does it as I said as a way to get higher tips. If you wanna ask him go there next time and ask him why he said that. Also notice his behavior around other customers and see if he acts the same.

Servers are trained to compliment customers... it's how they get good tips.

I don’t think calling a customer beautiful is exactly normal- but my rule of thumb is, if they have any income or tips riding in their level of service, they’re probably going to be pretty friendly. If nothing else it’s usually safer to just assume they’re being friendly instead of creating an embarrassing situation.

Just take it as a compliment and go on about your day. Whether he meant it or not, not worth the mental energy.
