Ugh, the "else" can be a major red flag. A casual hookup might be fine, but a healthy relationship shouldn't feel transactional. If you're just there for the ride home, he might not be interested in something more. Trust your gut - you deserve someone who wants to spend time with you for you, not just convenience.
This depends on the guy, someone like me it's just a drive home and nothing more. Other guys they are trying to get in your pants. I don't know the guy so I can't tell you which for sure but the fact that he flirts and touches you I'm thinking sex.
