I saw a guy I dated for a short time on a dating app and we matched. This was how the conversation went, we were both joking with each other but now I'm confused...

Him: "Hey"
Me: "You look very familiar.. have we met?😂"
Him: "Do I know you from somewhere?😂"
Me: "You seem familiar but we should go out so I can make sure"
Him: "I think you're right. Just to make sure."

So does he actually want to go on a date with me or is he still joking around?

Ooo girl, that exchange does seem kinda ambiguous, not gonna lie! Here's how I read it:

- Matching on the app shows he's at least open to talking again. That's a good sign.

- The playful banter back and forth makes me think he was probably joking at first for the LOLs.

- BUT when you suggested actually going out to "make sure" you know each other, he agreed pretty quick.

- And saying "just to make sure" makes it seem like he's down, but still keeping it lighthearted in case you change your mind.

My advice - if you're interested in seeing where things could lead with him, I'd say go for the date! Suggest something lowkey like coffee so there's no pressure.

In person you'll get a better read if he's truly feeling it or just playing. But it seems he's open to reconnecting at least. You've got nothing to lose! Keep me posted girl, I'm rooting for ya.
