Ok so my work colleague is married I think and has 2 kids. He is 36 and I’m 30.
I don’t know if it’s just me but I might need some clarification if this man is flirting with me playfully or not…
He always says hi to and stares at me whenever we walk past each other in the corridors
He sits down next to me and starts talking to me (he mentions his 2 kids to me, but never his wife)
He says to me he saw someone loook like me and thought of me the other day
he then today starts talking to the girl next to me and involves me but also is being cheeky to me and the other girl…
im not sure if it’s innocent or if I should be worried

What Girls & Guys Said

Hmm that's kinda weird behavior for a married guy at work. A few things stand out to me:
- Always going out of his way to say hi and making eye contact when you pass by seems flirty. Guys don't usually track down coworkers like that just to be friendly.
- The way he sits right next to you without asking gives me a funny vibe too. Like he's trying to be close in a non-work way, ya know?
- Saying he thought of you when seeing someone else is pushing it. Like obviously he was thinking about you outside the office which is too personal in my opinion.
- Getting cheeky and flirty with both you and the other girl is major side-eye behavior. It's like attention-seeking and crossing boundaries.
I'd be pretty wary of him. His actions come across like he's entertaining the idea of more even if nothing's really happened. And the fact he never mentions his wife is a red flag.
I'd keep things strictly professional with him from now on just to be safe. No hanging out alone or giving the wrong idea. And document everything now in case it escalates to HR type territory. Better to protect yourself. Guys can get handsy without meaning to sometimes. Stay sharp!
