the other night at work i was in the elevator with my boss who i get along pretty well with. she was carrying her dinner which was pretty hot and she said that she wanted to eat it now but it was so hot, then i responded "not as hot as i am." at the moment i didn't think much of it but later on i realized it could've been perceived as flirty?

I mean, saying a comment like that to your boss could definitely be seen as flirty by some. If she's an attractive woman, bringing up how "hot" you are in comparison is kinda treading into flirty territory.
That said, some bosses are just more casual and have friendly banter like that. Hard to say for sure without knowing her personally. It's possible she didn't take it that way and just thought you were joking around. But there's also a chance she could see it as flirty or even inappropriate depending on her view of office relationships.
Honestly, your best bet is probably just to act normal at work going forward and don't overthink it too much. If she doesn't say or do anything that makes you think she was weirded out, I wouldn't worry about it. But I'd avoid one-on-one situations alone with her just in case, at least for now. And maybe don't make any other flirty comments in the future just to be safe at work, you know?
Unless you're actually into her or get signals she's interested, then by all means turn on the charm! But as long as she's your boss, probably safest to leave romance out of it for now. Live and learn - we all accidentally flirt sometimes without meaning to.
You'll have an HR complaint when you get to work Monday I assume.
