How should a guy be complimented?

So I know thay men needs to be complimented too. But, what should I tell a guy when I'm complimenting him? How should a guy be complimented and what do you guys want to hear when the ladies would compliment you? I want to compliment this guy I like at work but I don't know how to do so. Will he like what I say? How do I do it?

What do you mean?
Let's say a guy does something nice for you... the compliment will be about that.
Or you're scared of something and he gets all protective... the compliment will be about that.
Or you don't need to nag him about taking out the trash... the compliment will be about that.
Or if he's the best kisser ever... the compliment will be about that. Get it?

Don't overthink it. Keep it light. A simple compliment and a smile/kiss are a fairly nice way to let the guy know that you see the good in him and appreciate it.

Honestly that’s hard to say because a majority of men don’t get compliments the way a lot of women think we do. I can’t member the last time I’ve been complimented by a female. I’m not saying I need it. I’ve always been ok w my girl saying thank you then giving me a kiss whenever I do something. I’m good w that. But as for other women in general, even before I met my girl. Never got a compliment that I can remember from a girl. Some men just find it embarrassing. Like they don’t know what to do because it’s like ok how do I respond to it. Again because it never really happens. So they feel awkward, like they’re put on the spot in front of everyone.

A difference between men and women is that women believe compliments whilst men don't. So figure that in.

I will only say something to a girl that is organically true. It might be nice top when I am thinking her nipples are really showing today but there is truth there.

You are best saying something that indicates you respect something about him e. g his expertise is some aspect of work. If it is overblown and exaggerated he won't believe you. The best compliment is asking his advice on some aspect.

But as others are saying, make it genuine, not some meaningless random compliment like... you have beautiful teeth!

If you just want to get noticed, try: Hey, what are you doing for lunch? Wanna try the new (thai/italian/sandwich/chinese/hungarian) place?

Otherwise, you can buy two starbucks on the way in, and take one to him, saying "hey, they gave me two this morning. You want one?"

I pay men compliments like I pay women compliments:

• Specific examples
• Compliment things they have agency in (clothes, haircut, performance, etc - not height or appearance or other natural things)
• Compliment their actions and explain why it's worth recognizing
• Take your time
• Fucking mean it or keep your mouth shut

Once of the easiest ways to compliment a guy is tell him you like how he dresses (if he dresses nice) or just an article of clothing
A “You look good in that shirt” or “That color suits you well” will grab his attention
It could be a way to strike up a conversation (if you haven’t really had one already)
