Is it a sign you’re attractive if you get special attention form service staff (mostly women) ?

Look. Obviously service staff is nice to get tips it’s their jobs to be friendly and professional. But if you notice if you go eat alone and you tend to get a lot more attention then other customers. A lot more chatting, and even at times being offered a lot of free stuff. Like oh here’s some pie on us and here try this it’s really good type of a thing. But nobody else is getting that

I’m a waitress and I don’t really give special treatment to people I find attractive. If you are a regular, I’ll go out of my way. It might just be an attempt to keep you coming in, maybe you spend a lot of money and maybe you are a friendly person, but I wouldn’t aim it at the fact that your looks are a factor.

Totally understand being professional is key. Even if you’re into someone if you overdo it it could freak them out and they say something.

I’ve noticed sone service staff overdo trying to be flirty or nice and it is weird and awkward too. Especially if it’s fake.

Being a waitress is nothing more than being an actor. Us waitresses go through a lot and need to constantly put a smile on our face so act like we want to be around people all the time when that’s not the case. I’m introverted and my customers don’t realize how hard it is for me to deal with them on some days, but I do it anyway.

Yeah I get it. Some are more friendly then others. But I mean when it’s such a fake act that it’s cringe.

Being in the service industry is harder then it looks. But I do like when someone’s genuinely nice and it seems to come from the heart

No. It happens to me and a couple of my friends all the time. The team is just being nice bc you're friendly and kind (and considered a good tipper)..

Even it’s the first time being there. And nobody else is really being treated that way

I don't know, dude, I'm not there to see what else is going on. I'm saying for me and a couple of folks I know it's a regular thing, even if it's our first time at a place. We're just fun crowd and keep things light, treat others nicely and all that.

FYI, it happened today. Salad and a drink. The drinks were on the house for us by the owners, who came over to chat us up a little. They’re just being nice. Nothing more.

From experience it's for tips unless you are goodlookin. At which case you wouldn't have to ask. It's still a nice way to rate their tip.

if everywhere you go people treat you nicer than others then it's a sign, though if its just service staff it doesn't really mean that ness
