Guys does a pretty girl intimidate you?

I guess I have this belief that guys are invincible and don't care how pretty a girl is, they'll always be able to talk to her, unlike girls who can be extremely shy and quiet around attractive men.

there's no polite way to say it, but guys always talk to my less attractive friends and I just wish they could be that comfortable with me. I want to talk to guys more, but they don't approach me and shyness stops me from approaching them first. They'll keep staring and tell others I'm pretty, but won't come near me. WHY? what's the thinking behind it? I guess my question (besides does a pretty girl intimidate you) is what reasons would stop you from approaching a pretty girl?

I think younger or more inexperienced guys would definitely be more reluctant to approach really pretty girls, but it depends on the girl too. I have no problem approaching really attractive girls but I will purposely avoid girls that I think have the "high maintenance" look too them, because they usually are just that... high maintenance!

Pretty girls do not intimidate me- girls I'm attracted to intimidate me.

But in terms of girls I'm attracted to- I am always afraid of rejection (like all men). If there is a chance you could break our hearts, we'll stay really far away.

I think they are.
They may not be intimidating as in personality but most of them are.
They hang around the player / chad types of dudes so I expect their standards to be extremely high. It came to my surprise that a good portion of 8/10 girls like me.
I'm still nervous about talking to them though. I like nerds.

And to answer your question, if they turn us down right away, it can damage our egos and we hate that process. It's often that pretty girls get approached all the time, and if they do we assume they get tired of shooing away all the sleazy guys and we often over-analyze the initial approach and we don't want to be seen as a sleaze.
