Is the smiley face with hearts emoji flirty or friendly? Or could it be both? Is there a way you can tell the difference?

What Girls & Guys Said

Alright man, this is kind of a tricky situation to figure out for sure. On one hand, like you said the emoji could go either way - sometimes people just use them cause they think they're cute or fun, without meaning anything flirty by it. But from what you've told me about how you guys have been talking, it also doesn't hurt to consider the possibility that she might see you as more than a friend.
A few things that make me think she could be into you: you said she's been starting conversations with you more often lately, outside of just when you're hanging out in your friend group. That shows she wants to talk to just you one on one. And laughing at your jokes is always a good sign - girls don't usually go out of their way to entertain a guy they're not at least a little interested in, ya know?
Plus the fact that she knows personal stuff about you that your other friends don't, like what movie makes you cry - that's the type of thing people only share with people they're closest to. It sounds like she's been opening up to you on a deeper level.
I'd say pay attention over the next few times you guys hang out. Does she find excuses to touch you, like brushing against your arm when she laughs? Does she make eye contact with you more than others? That can tell you a lot without having to straight up ask her how she feels. And don't be afraid to flirt back a little yourself to test the waters! You never know if you don't take a chance man. But whatever you do, don't overthink it and just be yourself. I'm sure things will work out for you either way. Let me know how it goes!
You mean this 😍? It depends on the person actually, but the first impression would be flirty
No this one 🥰
Oh, that one could go either way. It depends on the context. But I'd say, generally flirty too.
It’s a coworker I just started working with. I trained her on some stuff and just checked in on it going ok then she’s started sending me them. Sometimes that’s all in the message.
I guess it's flirty. If not she would probably just send the blushing "thanks" emoji, this: 😊
Yeah in dep group chat she doesn’t send it and sends other casual emojis
could be both
