Well one surefire way to know is that he will have told you this stuff. He will say I love you and you will know it not only through words but through his actions. I imagine you will be talking about the future and both excited about it. It is gonna depend on where you are at in the relationship and the type of guy he is. Some guys are less subtle than others. Some obvious things though would be talking about that sorta stuff with you and you see the excitement from him. That would be a real good indication.
